Tuesday we had a meeting with Provost Ron Daniels along the same lines as the University Communications meeting, but this time the only people representing Penn were Daniels himself, and his assistant Leo Charney, who we grabbed after the meeting for a quick photo/video shoot which resulted in Wednesday’s “Personalities” piece, and the accompanying video on dailypennsylvanian.com.
I’m not sure how many of you read “Ask an expert,” last semester’s Wednesday page two feature, but starting this semester “Ask an expert” is being replaced by “Personalities,” where we’re going to try to show you some of the people in, at and around Penn whose presence is constantly felt but rarely noticed.
The meeting with the Provost itself was rather more of the same. He talked about Penn’s new financial aid initiatives at some length and about a new scholarship program for international students.
