Many newspapers’ left-wing biases are also killing them, as they are out of step with mainstream America (and readers are tired of political opinion posing as journalism). The DP has had a mixed record in this regard…articles on the Penn Police and race issues on campus almost always have a liberal bent. Moreover, right-of-center columnists and bloggers are few and far between (and with hundreds of active College Republicans, this is surprising). Hopefully the DP will not crash and burn like the NY Times and other left-wing media outlets and, instead, will follow the path of the Wall Street Journal and Fox News in providing BOTH sides of the debate…and crushing the competition.

anybody here know of a good site to find more info on cnn live news video video? I\’ve got this site bookmarked and im gonna keep checking it out, but i still would like to find a site that covers cnn live news video video a little more thoroughly..thanks

Some of the DP’s video, audio, and interactive work is really impressive, and I think the DP is great. It would be even greater, though, if you ditched College Publisher. It gives the whole site — which is usually full of worthwhile content — a sheen of unprofessionalism. I’m sure there are costs and benefits involved that I’m not aware of, but that just my $0.02.

Actually, Senior Sports Editor Matt “Connie Mack” Conrad wrote the first Buzz post. It was later accidentally deleted.

This doesn’t make Tannenwald any less cool, however.

The only shame in the timing of the Buzz was that there was no overlap with the most glorious time in DP history, the era of Le Burgeoner. Just think, we the masses could have been privy to such leading queries as “Are the Hawks for real.” Instead we had to settle for crap on the level of “Why the hell is nothing open in Kentucky” and “Why won’t Mrs. Bilsky say hello to me?” Real shame.

So Jonathan Tannenwald, who according to many accounts wrote more articles than anyone ever for the DP, gets to say he wrote the first (2) collegiate sports blog post(s) of all time? Here it is.

Can he get any cooler? What more does he have to do to become as Philadelphia as a Butterscotch Krimpet? I defy you to defy this leading query and have the nay-sayers abide.

Interesting stuff. Why does the DP host locally when it is part of the College Publisher network? It seems that allowing CP to host would save a lot of money.
