No, I don’t anticipate us using cuts (where you have to click to see the rest of the post) very often. I do think we will use them for our in-game updates, though, since those posts tend to be quite long and take up a lot of room on the page.

As for the comments section, I agree that the old drop-down format of the comments was better, but to be honest with you, I have way too little computer knowledge to comment intelligently on why the new version is the way it is.

I’m also not sure exactly what the “comment awaiting moderation” message was all about. I will ask our Web Editor about that and post a response. One small correction — we do get spam sometimes. That was a big problem a few months ago but we seem to have gotten rid of most of it.

So… you went ahead and replaced the previous elegant simplicity with a cluttered, unnecessary redesign. So now I suppose I’ll have to click on each post to read the full text of it, go to a seperate page for comments, etc. Yeah, that sounds great.

Ok, I take it back, the comment section looks awful. “Your comment is awaiting moderation”? What’s that about? Sick of being criticized? DP censoring the blogs great! I hadn’t noticed any spam or obscenities on the comments so I’m not sure this is necessary.

I’m not a huge fan but as long as you keep the entire post on the main page and don’t require people to click a link to see the post in its entirety I can deal with it. Also, the comment section looks like it’ll be less fun than the last one.

Nice job to the buzz for continuing the dp tradition of making web content uglier and more difficult to navigate. The old site was far easier to use, find posts and post comments. You guys sure know to take a good thing and make it suck.
