Actually, I have been paying attention, and have come to the conclusion that each of the Democratic candidates is only going to further the ineffectual governing strategies of Street’s bungled administration. I could add that they offer no real vision for the future and no concrete plan to get out of this mess, with most running on an anti-corruption platform while failing to answer Philadelphia’s broken school system or to offer a realistic solution to the violence.

Before you go attacking Republicans, I’d like to add one thing: your party’s been in control for fifty-five years and has led Philadelphia into a drug-fueled, poverty-induced downward spiral that has culminated in today’s disastrous situation, broken school system, extreme violence and general hopelessness. I think it’s time for a change, for a real leader with a real vision who can halt stand up to such harsh realities and turn the city around. I know where my vote’s going in the next election.
