Put a kink in your plans

I don’t know if it’s all the alcohol or just the fact that the
Internet brings new and exciting things into everyone’s homes, but it
certainly feels like our generation’s up for a lot of sexual
experimentation.

As third year Penn Law School student Jocelyn (last name withheld by request) put it, “If you hang out in Izzy and Zoe’s on a Sunday morning, you’ll probably hear some crazy things.” From
threesomes to ‘angry sex,’ everyone I know, at least, has been
talking about all sorts of interesting dirty things. So what are
people trying?

Nothing’s more basic, when branching out, than a shiny pair of handcuffs. Hooking them to the headboard usually
works; if not, just make your partner promise (or, more bindingly,
pinky swear) they won’t move their hands. Also remember that they’re
not really supposed to stay on the whole time - if you don’t get to
the point where someone wants to rip them off, well then, you’re
probably doing it wrong. Handcuffs should make things more exciting,
not get in the way.

See? Not so scary.

Make it even more exciting with a blindfold; slip into
real kink with a gag.

Speaking of props, what about things that go buzz? Everyone knows that
women (and men) can use vibrators alone, but a lot of people are now
discovering that their kindergarten teachers were right: they should
share their toys.

Penis rings are probably the simplest for men, with
the added benefit of possible accessories: mini vibrators to help out whoever
you’re with.

If you’re a girl who likes girls, there’s everything
from the pricey strap-on to the simpler, cheaper clitoral vibrator. Obviously, Toys in Babeland is
a great place to start looking.

While you’re there, check out a section you might not have realized that
both partners can enjoy: adult DVDs. Watching porn is good way to find out your
partner’s fantasies, which are always easier to talk about with a
‘they’ than a ‘we’, and there’s a decent amount of porn made for
couples to watch together.

I’ll leave recommendations up to the experts - the article’s a bit old (2002), but sex is timeless, right? Find something with plot and decent acting and take a mutual study break. Maybe you’ll get inspired.

Third year law student Heather said it well: “When you put a bunch of sexually-frustrated and newly-liberated eighteen-year-olds in one
place at one time, they’re going to talk about sex.” So read through
again, click the links, and start having the somewhat-kinkier sex that
everyone thinks you’re having.
