If a cross-section of this year’s new maths grad students can be considered a reasonable sample size, you may rest assured that the ratio of wearers of thick, horn-rimmed glasses to actual human beings is actually worse than the ratio of serious athletes to geeks in the maths department. As far as October’s speed dating event is concerned, your chances of meeting someone hot *and* smart would thus have considerably outweighed your chances of meeting a nerd with horny glasses. Your loss:D
