Did Bill O’Reilly get owned by a Penn student?

Simeon McMillan

Umm, not exactly.

…but the guy did a hell of a good job.

“Samir PWNED Billy O” is the title of a facebook group praising Penn senior and Muslim Student’s Association president Samir Malik on his performance last Friday on the O’Reilly Factor. (Pwned is video-gaming slang for “owned” or “dominating” an opponent, according to my sources in the engineering school.)

While one can argue it’s impossible to get in the last word on a guy like O’Reilley,
Samir (who doesn’t appear on camera until the second video below) remained calm, cool, and collected as he eloquently defended his view on why “Islamo-Facism Awareness Week” was originally an inappropriate title for last week’s debate on terrorism.

Was FOX News hoping for a more heated debate? Probably, given their history of shock journalism.

However, Samir held his ground and remained reasonable and logical even when the producers broke out the dreaded three-way split screen of death.

Someone in Wharton should let this guy teach a guest lecture on public relations.

To be fair, Samir did get in the last word, and I think O’Reilly did a good job respectfully disagreeing.

Samir definitely PWNED Billy O. No question about it.

That was really confusing — because i thought he didn’t say a word — until I saw there were two videos. Might wanna stack those two together next time.
