$4.01. That’s how much Bucks County Coffee charges for a regular coffee and a chocolate croissant. Four-oh-freaking-one.
Every time the cashier dumps a pile of change so big that only Rainman knows if it amounts to 99c in my hands I want to leap over the counter and snap some necks. Instead, I just glare at her, further poisoning my relationship with everyone in that god-forsaken store.

It takes a special kind of arrogance to charge anyone $4.01 for a basic combination like that. The same kind of arrogance it takes to serve up scorched coffee and stale croissants.
I Bucking hate that place. So why do I keep going?
Because the girls there are really hot. I don’t know what non-Newtonian force draws them into such a shithole, but it’s a fact that attractive Penn girls — all 15 of them — are drawn to Bucks.
And it’s not like a party with a ton of hot girls, where you’re excited and nervous, and they’re all wearing their army boots and warpaint. No, the hot girls at Bucks all are too absorbed in their homework to notice me ogling them with coffee, croissant, and 99c in hand. It’s like a zoo of hotness, where you get to see beautiful creatures in their natural environment.
Hey, don’t call me creepy. I didn’t call it a petting zoo.

If you know it’s going to come to 4.01, you could take a penny with you.
Here’s how you could have you daily schedule revolve around it to:
Monday: get your 99 cents, which will have 4 pennies as a part of it
Tuesday: use one of the pennies you got on monday
Wednesday: use the second penny
Thursday: use the third
Friday: hopefully you see where this is going. You use your last penny from monday.
This leads me to two other things: first, are all establishments supposed to calculate all “basic” combinations and then rearrange their prices to keep “arrogance” at bay? I’m sure if you told the owner of the establishment how you felt, he’d more than happily charge you a more non-arrogant total, like $5 even? Second, how in the world can you call them “arrogant” for your total coming to 4.01? Personally, I think you’re a hypocrite seeing as how your attitude and reasons to going to Bucks is fairly arrogant in its own right.
