I love Project Runway.

I know what you’re thinking; all of your gay friends love Project Runway, so why would Anthony be any different? Well this homo is going to tell you why he’s different.

I don’t love “PR” because I long to wear the contestants’ custom lady-dresses, and I don’t love the show because all but one of its male contestants are homosexuals. No, I tune in to Bravo every Wednesday at 9pm because Project Runway is the funniest show that cable television has to offer.

If you think I’m kidding, you’ve clearly never seen the show, which follows the same format every week:

1) The designers get a ridiculous task: this can range from being asked to make a dress out of car parts to having to knowingly design a tacky outfit for a drag queen.

2) Designers begin designing: This portion of the show is often where the designers try and start their own catch phrases. If you’ve ever said something looked “fierce,” or you’ve referred to your grandma as “silver tranny ferocia,” you’re an unoriginal bastard and shame on you for repeating what you see on T.V.

3) Tim Gunn visits the contestants: This is probably my favorite portion. Tim is a silver-haired gay man with a vast vocabulary and only two catch phrases: “Make it work,” and, “This worries me.” What’s most enticing about this segment is that PR pretty much tells the viewers who is in trouble that week based on how many times Tim Gunn’s wrist goes limp as he points to all of the mistakes on one particular garment.

4) Tim Gunn tells the contestants they need to complete an extra task in a very small amount of time, and the designers all shit their pants.

5) The Runway: Shoddy, rushed garments make their ways down the Runway, and one designer is eliminated simply based on the subjective opinions of the judges.

If an hour full of ferocious gay men and sewing machine mishaps can’t make you laugh, nothing will.
